RiverStone in the Future

The structures of the Center will be planned in such a way as to reflect in a material way our values of spirituality, inclusivity, reverence, simplicity, stewardship, community, and hospitality.

They will be designed and constructed with an emphasis on environmental sustainability and will define and embrace the liminal space.Simplicity and minimalism will be used as vehicles for spiritual growth and awareness, a symbolic fasting from the excesses of our lives and an evocation of the True Self.

There will be an atmosphere of peacefulness and stillness.

It will be a place that provides safety and security while being conducive to the exploration of the depths of one’s relationship with God – a place the naked soul comes home to.

Santa Soledad

RiverStone retreats are held at Santa Soledad, a private retreat facility near Austin, Texas, owned by Awanda and Charles Whitworth.  The Whitworths are Maryknoll missionaries, parents, grandparents, peace and justice advocates and extremely generous people.  Their friendship has been pure gift to us.

We invite you to browse through these photos - see the beauty, experience the peace - and we think you’ll understand why we feel honored to welcome our guests to Santa Soledad.
